To get to Sylvan Lake, from Edmonton or Calgary take Highway 2 towards Red Deer, then

Take Hwy 11 and go to Highway 781 near Sylvan Lake, then turn right and proceed to the lake front traffic lights

OR Turn west onto Highway 11A and proceed to the traffic lights in the town of Sylvan Lake.

Once in Sylvan Lake you have to make your way to the Kasota Camp (Calgary is Kasota West, we are Kasota East)

At the traffic light in Sylvan Lake, follow Highway 11A west approximately 5 km.

Look for a green highway sign to Half Moon Bay (Look for a white sign in the trees which says Kasota East Camp)

Turn right (north), go 3 km on Range Rd 21 to a sign near the lake which identifies the United Church of Canada.

Follow these directions, or just swim there like I do.

Flip, flop, or fly.

You will get there if you try!
